Background in brief:
The Lord of the Resistance Liberation or Lord Resistance Army (LRA) consists of a group of rebels in Northern Uganda led by fanatics Joseph Kony. LRA's terror strategy has forced many populations in northern Uganda to escape. In the assessments made in November 2003 (LDDMC report 20th Nov), the displaced population registered throughout the Lira District is 136,000 IDPs (displaced). In the Lira municipality there are 15 displaced camps.

Results achieved:
In total, approximately 3900 Kits of non-food supplies were distributed in the camps, and displaced schools of the Lira municipality. Most of the kits were distributed in the field of Aloi, the largest field in the entire Lira district.


The basic kit was as follows:
• 2 blankets
• 1 pot (6 liters)
• 1 tank 20 lt.
• 2 plastic plates
• 2 plastic cups
• 2-3 bars of soap
• (1 hoe)
• (1 plastified canvas)

Beneficiaries:
37,000 people.
