Target:
Stimulate the establishment of lots of woodland near schools, raise awareness among young people and adults about the emerging phenomenon of deforestation (WFP promoted and Straight Talk Foundation).
Results:
• Forestry nursery realized at the Loputuk Multifunctional C & S Center with the contribution of the local community (50 women benefiting from the Food for Assets program)
• 60,000 Neem and Sena arbosses produced and subsequently implanted in schools and public institutions complexes in the districts of Moroto, Nakapiripirit and Kotido
• 10 tons of food received from the local community during project activities.
Beneficiaries:
15,050 people (50 schools and 50 family nuclei).
