The Kampala office, inaugurated in January 1984, consists of three buildings: one for housing, one for storage, and one for offices (built in 2013). Today, 15 people work at the Kampala office, including 5 expatriates and 10 locals. The office serves as a community hub for collaborators, a welcome point for those arriving from Italy, a logistics reference for project material procurement, administration (project reporting), and contact with the Ugandan government. It also provides support to organizations working in Kampala’s slums. From 2000 to the present, the office has hosted around 50 guests per year.
Operational Headquarters in Moroto Karamoja
Established in 1985 by Don Vittorione, the Moroto office serves as a permanent reference point for the community. The compound consists of a house, warehouses, offices, a workshop, a garden, and a chicken coop. The Moroto office employs an average of 120 local workers, 12 expatriates, and 10 volunteers across projects and compound activities. During the summer, it hosts youth groups participating in the "Come and See" project. Since 2002, it has welcomed an average of 150 guests per year.
Operational Headquarters in Alito Kole District
In 2017, in response to a request for support from the Diocese of Lira, we initiated a new project in northern Uganda (Kole District), focusing on redeveloping the former leprosarium in Alito. The project involved the establishment of a Training Centre with an Agribusiness School and a demonstration farm. The center quickly became a reference point for the region and a stable project of our Movement. From 2017 to 2019, 330 young people were trained, 225 acres of land were reclaimed, and over 1,000 young farmers from surrounding areas were reached through "dissemination" work and agricultural knowledge sharing by students trained at the Agribusiness School.
