Venice Marathon 2024 with Africa Mission and Rete del Dono

This year, we will participate in the 38th edition of the Venice Marathon, a running event through the streets of Venice. But we’re not just running on the road; the solidarity race has also kicked off on the Rete del Dono platform. Our goal is to raise funds for the rehabilitation of 5 clean water wells in Karamoja (Uganda) through the campaign RunForWaterRunForLife!

For 18 years, this initiative has supported the running event that takes place in Venice, scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2024. Thanks to this collaboration, we have raised funds since 2006 for the drilling of 19 new wells and the rehabilitation of 18 non-functional ones.

This year, our team at Africa Mission will also include Paola Gianotti, an endurance cyclist and holder of four Guinness World Records. "Nothing is impossible! You just have to believe it. Because if you do nothing, nothing will happen."

Paola will not only run with us but will also be our fundraiser! She has set up her page on Rete del Dono to help us collect funds for the restoration of 5 water wells in Uganda.
