August, Africa Mission I Know You
Solidarity knows no holidays—how many times have we said this? Many, perhaps too many! To prove this, we are updating you on the upcoming events featuring Africa Mission Cooperation and Development across Italy in the coming days and weeks.
Upcoming Events
- August 1 - August 31: The traditional Missionary Exhibition organized by the Pesaro-Urbino group of Africa Mission will take place at the Church of San Domenico in Piazza Rinascimento, Urbino. The aim is to support the Movement's projects and the activities of the Diocese of Urbino, Urbania, and Sant'Angelo in Vado. The exhibition will be open from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM, showcasing Ugandan crafts and items from other countries where missionary initiatives supported by the Diocese are active.
- Saturday, August 3: At Marina Chiaolella on the island of Procida at 8:30 PM, there will be a tasting event titled "The Cup of Anchovies," with proceeds going to AMCS. This initiative is part of the Procida Sud Festival, which features various events from August 2 to 5, including the involvement of our volunteers. Check out the poster for the full program.
- Sunday, August 4: In Piazza Don Vittorio at Rasa di Varese at 7:30 PM, a solidarity risotto dinner will support AMCS projects during the Feast of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The event is organized by the Varese branch of Africa Mission in collaboration with the San Gottardo and Giovanni Paolo II pastoral community—Rasa Parish. The chef will be our volunteer Carletto Bianchi. See the poster for details.
- Sunday, August 4: At Lavandeto in C.ne da Maestà 14, Tolentino at 8:00 PM, there will be an apericena followed by the dialect comedy "Mi moje adè un robotte," performed by the "Noi del Teatrino" theater company. The evening aims to raise funds for AMCS, particularly for the "A Well for Torresi" project led by our volunteer Beatrice Bistocco. Check out the poster for more information.
