The population of Karamoja relies on agro-pastoralism, with a strong interaction between humans and animals. This proximity increases the risk of zoonoses, diseases that can pass from animals to humans.
To contribute to the reduction of the incidence of communicable diseases in the Ugandan districts of Napak and Moroto, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3 and the objectives of the National One Health Strategic Plan.
To increase the adherence of communities, health facilities, and district authorities to practices and services for the prevention, diagnosis, and epidemiological surveillance necessary for the containment of potentially epidemic infections.
